IFR Workwear was once a family-owned aboriginal business founded by Reg Radford & Erin Buckland in 2005 and has experienced significant growth over the past 18 years and with that continued success, the company was acquired by Portwest, the fastest-growing FR Workwear company globally, in June 2023.

Additionally, we now offer a wide range of Hi-Vis non-FR garments and protective handwear options. Our products cater to various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, electrical, construction, railroad, and more.
While our traditional FR products will continue to be sourced and manufactured within the CUSMA region, we now have access to global supply and manufacturing resources that enhance our product assortment.
The reflective striping used on all garments meets or even exceeds the industry’s visibility requirements, making IFR products the most trusted, reliable, and comfortable option for safety workwear. We also provide customization options, including the ability to embellish garments with your company logos, add name bars, and make size adjustments in our facility. This makes us a one-stop shop for your protective workwear needs.
In order to provide consistent quality, we only use proven and tested fabrics like Westex UltraSoft®, Westex® DH, Avenger, Frontline Fabrics, DuPont™ Nomex®Essential, along with components made in North America. The reflective tape that is used on our garments meet and exceed reflective visibility requirements of industry.
Our company also has an unsurpassed professional team, which makes it easy to continually serve our customers with consistent quality service and products.
Our large distribution centre has an in-house embroidery department and custom sewing centre allowing us to provide alterations, embroidery, cresting and transfer reflective heat seals. We carry a large inventory of many fabrics and a wide range of colours for instant delivery; offering our customers same day shipping, quickly and efficiently. For our women’s line, we carry a wide variety of extra small and petite sizes as well as sizes for tall and full-figured women. All garment materials meet safety standards and comply with industry standards controlled by the CGSB (Canadian General Standards Board), the CSA (Canadian Standards Association), the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials International) and the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
